Com-Til is a dark, rich compost that will break up tough
clay soil, add valuable organic matter, provide both macro
and micro nutrients, help retain moisture and provide a
decorative mulch. The product is made from residual
bio-solids from the City of Columbus wastewater treatment
plants, yard waste and wood chips.

PRICING:
Com-Til (traditional): $16 per cubic yard
Com-Til Plus (soil conditioner): $12 per cubic yard

In:
Recommended Application Rates
Vegetable Garden: 1/2 inch annually
Annual Beds:
1 - 2 inches mixed into 4-12 inches of soil. Spread evenly over existing material: 1/4 inch in
the Spring or up 1/2 inch in the Fall. For separation or new planting, use 1-2
inches mixed into 4-12 inches of soil.
Transplants:
Trees, shrubs,
flowers and bulbs: mix 30% COM-TIL to 70% existing soil.
Lawns: Spread evenly
over existing turf: 1/4 to 1/2 inch. New installations or sod:
use 1-2 inches mixed
into 4-12 inches of soil.
Potting:
Use 1 part Com-Til to 6
parts soil.
Mulch:
1-2 inches - or use 1 inch
under wood mulch to retain nitrogen.
These applications depend
on existing soil conditions and the type of plant material grown. Conversion
factor: 1 cubic yard covers 1000 square ft. at 1/4 inches. To determine how

PURCHASING Information:
Com-Til is available for
purchase by cash or check only in bulk quantities. It is priced per cubic yard (one cubic
yard weighs about 1,000 pounds), but customers can buy as much or as little as they need.
Customers may bag material by bringing their own containers. Material transported in open
trucks or trailers must be covered. A normal pick-up truck holds about two cubic yards.
Delivery service is not offered by the Com-Til Office but customers can arrange delivery
